Beer Wine Collaboration with Wooden Hill Brewing Company
In 2019, Cody Kaye, from Yellow House Vineyard approached James Ewen about making a truly unique beer with the grapes grown from his vineyard in Afton, Minnesota.
Since this collaboration, Cody, has spent years further developing the concept of beer wine with a local hop grower and brew master. At first all Cody wanted to do was sell his grapes to the industry to help create unique products but after years of talking with breweries throughout the Twin Cities he soon realized that no one wanted to support his vision. Cody approached 40+ breweries with his idea for the beer wine hybrid alcohol and had no luck selling his grapes to any of them. Over the years some breweries attempted to create this unique beer but fell far short on capturing the taste of a true beer wine. Some breweries even went as far as claiming to be the first beer wine but they actually had no true reason to ever develop the beer in the first place. Cody, has now spent over a decade growing his vineyard and plans to continue to push the envelope with unique product creations such as wine jelly. You can now find Yellow House Vineyard Rose Marquette wine available as well as the 4 different varieties of wine jellies in stores.
In the coming years there will be many new products to hit the market. Stay tuned!
