Our Story

Yellow House Vineyard was founded in 2014 in Afton, Minnesota. The vineyard is located in the only location in existence that’s classified as a ‘Basin of a Bissell Mound’. Bissell Mounds are native to Afton Minnesota and are natural glacier formations consisting of solid limestone. What makes our soil so incredible is the fact that on top of excellent growing soil we have a layer beneath that soil made up of heavily eroded limestone sand that changes the taste of the varieties in both color and taste.
